Magic Johnson’s excellent all-around performance led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 114-104 home victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The game gave the Lakers a 4-2 series victory to clinch the title.

Johnson finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds 13 assists, four steals and two blocks. He took just three shots and made two of them. He made all nine of his free throws in the game.

Jamaal Wilkes scored 27 points for the Lakers. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Julius Erving kept the game close. He finished with 30 points, eight rebounds and five steals but it wasn’t enough.

Johnson was named Finals MVP for the second time in three years. He finished his career with five championships and three Finals MVP awards.
