Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis returned to his native Latvia during the NBA lockdown, but he is not wasting his time there. The 24-year-old forward took to Instagram to share a video of him knocking down shots in a gym in Latvia as he is getting ready for the season resumption.
This season Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He and Luka Doncic are the top scorers for the Mavs.
Mavericks are currently in seventh place in the Western Conference with 40 wins and 27 losses. They and Memphis are the only teams among the top 8 in the West that have not clinched a playoff berth yet. However, with the Grizzlies having a 32-33 record Dallas is very close to earning a place in postseason.
They will presumably face the Suns, Clippers, Kings, Blazers, Suns, Rockets, Jazz, Bucks (in order) when the season resumes in Orlando.
