Mike D’Antoni believes Eric Gordon is the player that can make the Houston Rockets a title contender.
The head coach of the Rockets says the team already has a third dynamic scorer (apart from Russell Westbrook and James Harden) in Gordon.
“I think Eric is in a better place now than he was two months ago coming off the injury. I think Eric Gordon is a big key for us. He has the potential to put us over the top,” D’Antoni said on KHOU’s Sports Extra, via Anthony Duckett of Space City Scoop.
Gordon was averaging 14.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the Rockets prior to the NBA suspension.
