It’s interesting to see the changes that each Euroleague team will make and how much the COVID-19 crisis has affected them. Zalgiris Kaunas will be one of the teams that will probably make big changes to their roster.
According to Donatas Urbonas, the team from Kaunas will probably reduce the budget by 30%, which means that players having big contracts and earnings will have to lower their standards or even leave the team.
Thomas Walkup, Marius Grigonis and Lukas Lekavicius, who have been key elements to Zalgiris, are some of the players whose future with the club is uncertain. Also, even though head coach Saras Jasikevicius has a contract with Zalgiris until 2021 and is expected to stay, he might see changes in his salary this season.
