Klay Thompson’s father Mychal cannot understand how Devin Booker ended as only the 13th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The two-time NBA champion with the Lakers pointed at shooting and other skills of the Suns shooting guard that were somehow overlooked by scouts.

Booker, who became an All-Star this season (replacing injured Damian Lillard), saw twelve players getting picked ahead of him, among them Mario Hezonja, Willie Cauley-Stein, Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, Justise Winslow, Trey Lyles.

The former Kentucky Wildcat is among only three players from the 2015 NBA Draft who became All-Stars. The other two are Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis.

This season, the 23-year-old shooting guard is averaging 26.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game for the Phoenix Suns.
