The sports journalists of this world are known for giving the fans breaking news and opinion, whether it’s on a website, on print or social media. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is one of the better known journalists in the basketball world with over 600,000 Twitter followers. He has such personalities like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James following him.

Our gossip column for Monday starts with Wojnarowski quite rightly giving his “opinion” on Jason Kidd.

WOJNAROWSKI GOES HARD ON KIDD & BUCKS

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski has taken to Twitter to unleash a few personal tweets on Jason Kidd’s apparent arrival to Milwaukee to coach the Bucks.

We would give you the back story, but the basketball writer has summed it up in these tweets, all sent out on June 30 (this morning).

Possibility of getting Bucks 1st-round pick for Kidd is remote. Several sources believe deal gets done in 24 hours w/ a 2nd rounder, or two.

Lost in this is violation of coach’s code: You don’t pursue job belonging to someone else. Humiliating end for Larry Drew. Kidd’s shameless.

Bucks ownership masking this as a coach hiring, but belief is that it’s just matter of time until Kidd has full control in Milwaukee.

Rick Carlisle runs coach’s association, takes issues seriously. Ultimate coach’s coach. You can bet Kidd’ll feel disgust within fraternity.

It will be interesting to see what happens from this. Very interesting.

CONNER WASHINGTON RIDES ON IN LEICESTER

Leicester Riders have retained the services of youngster Conner Washington as the guard signs a 2-year deal with the club.

Washington brings much needed energy off the bench and coach Rob Paternostro is happy to have him back.

“I thought Conner played very well last season, he was able to come off the bench in some big games and provide us with some excellent play on both ends of the floor,” Paternostro said.

“In the last few minutes of the Cup Final in January, Conner was a major factor in the win vs Newcastle. His defensive pressure gave us the lift we needed in order to retain the Cup. He is quick, strong, really athletic and has shown the ability to really shoot the basketball. Over the last three seasons we have watched him mature and love the fact that he is back with us for another season. An extremely hard worker, he has again put in a lot of work this summer and looks raring to go for the start of the BBL season.”
