Angola name preliminary squad for World Cup

Afrobasket winners Angola have named a 15-man preliminary squad for the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

They are: Armando Costa, Hermenegildo Santos, Edmir Lucas, Edson Ndoniema, Reggie Moore, Felizardo Ambrósio, Joaquim Gomes, Mutu Fonseca, Islando Manuel, Carlos Morais, Olimpio Cipriano, Eduardo Mingas, Milton Barros, Valdelicio Joaquim and Yanick Moreira.

Angola will play in Group D in Gran Canaria, where they will face Slovenia, Australia, Lithuania, Korea and Mexico.

Perperoglou to Anadolu Efes?

Turkish media have reported that Olympiacos’ Stratos Perperoglou will sign a two-year deal for Euroleague side Anadolu Efes, as they look to strengthen their roster under new coach Dusan Ivkovic.

The Istanbul side are also set to part ways with Kerem Gonlum, it is reported.

DJ Cooper to play for Bosnia & Herzegovina
