Skip Bayless says he had no idea Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were as close as they were shown to be in the latest installment of The Last Dance. Bayless covered the Chicago Bulls in their heyday but was in the dark about the relationship between the pair, as were most of us until MJ spoke at the deceased legend’s memorial.

As he always does, though, the Undisputed analyst found a way to throw LeBron James in there and suggested the Lakers superstar attempted to make his relationship with Kobe seem bigger than it was in the Instagram post he wrote after Kobe’s death.

“I just don’t think LeBron’s connection with Kobe was anything was anything like this Kobe-Michael one,” he said. “I know LeBron and Kobe had gotten closer near the end maybe but it wasn’t anything like the depth of this one.”
