Bottom club Valladolid got a morale-boosting 88-76 win over second from bottom Bruixa d’Or in week 25 in Spain.

It’s only Valladolid’s third win of the season but their confidence will be high as they look to finish the season strong. Dimitris Haritopoulos led the basement side with 17 points.

Third from bottom Murcia couldn’t open a further gap on the bottom two however as they lost 85-80 to Gipuzkoa in the Spanish province.

The visitors made life difficult though, especially in the final stages but Gipuzkoa survived as stay in 11th; outside of playoff contention. Jason Robinson led the victors with 24 points.

Estudiantes, who are fourth from bottom of the table, were able to get a win as they defeated Fuenlabrada 86-66 in Madrid.

James Feldeine led Estudiantes with 13 in a well balanced scoring attack. Kyle Kuric had a game-high 24 in vain for Fuenlabrada.

Elsewhere in the league, the top three all won, as Real Madrid maintained their unbeaten run by downing Gran Canaria 83-74 in the Spanish capital.

Barcelona thrashed Bilbao 104-75 in the Catalan capital and Valencia pipped Natura Monbus 69-64 at home.

Unicaja Malaga defeated Laboral Kutxa 83-64 in an all-Euroleague encounter at this year’s Copa del Rey venue. Lithuanian international Mindaugas Kuzminskas led Malaga with 14 points overall.

There were also wins for Cajasol Seville, who beat Zaragoza 79-59, and Joventut Badalona were 76-63 victors over Tenerife.
