The 2014 Euroleague Final Four logo was unveiled; plans for the fan zone plus a major partner were also announced as Milan started gearing up for European club basketball’s big event, starting May 16 through to May 18.

The logo, presented by Designers United will be showcased around the fashion capital from now until the Euroleague champion is crowned on May 18 as Milan looks to follow on from the poorly-marketed Final Four in London last year.

“Milan is globally recognized as the capital of design, the city of fashion, but Milan is much more than that,” Jordi Bertomeu, the President and CEO of Euroleague Basketball said.

“It is also a capital of basketball, with a strongly-rooted tradition and really passionate fans. The combination of these two factors inspired Designers United, a multi-award winning firm, to build a powerful brand for one of Europe’s most important sports events, the 2014 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four.”

Plans for fan zone were released as the public event will be held in Milan’s main city square, the Piazza Duomo, as a dunk contest, 3-on-3 tournaments, cheerleading workshops and three-point shootouts will be featured.

Bertomeu and general manager of Giorgio Armani Livio Proli then announced that his major fashion brand EA7 Emporio Armani will be an official partner of the Four Four.

I would like to encourage all Italian fans to not miss this opportunity to witness the best basketball on the continent,” Bertomeu said.

Tickets for the Final Four go on sale on Wednesday March 5.
