Real Madrid bolstered its froncourt for the upcoming season by inking center Salah Mejri to a one-year deal on Thursday.

Mejri (2.17 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Blusens Monbus Obradoiro, where he averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 36 Spanish League games last season. He helped Obradoiro to make it to the Spanish League playoffs for the first time in club history.

Mejri has also played for Port of Antwerp Giants in Belgium and Etoile du Sahel in his native Tunisia.

Mejri is also a regular member of the Tunisian national team and shined at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England, averaging 10.4 points, 10 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in 5 games.

He helped Tunisia to win AfroBasket 2011 and get a bronze medal in AfroBasket 2009. Mejri also lifted the Tunisian League title with Etoile du Sahel in 2007 and 2009.

Mejri is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Madrid next season.
