Valencia Basket has signed playmaker Sam Van Rossom to a three-year deal, the club announced this weekend.
Van Rossom (1.88 meters, 27 years old) arrives from CAI Zaragoza, where he averaged 9.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3 assists in 40 Spanish League games last season. He helped Zaragoza reach the Spanish League semifinals and the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.
Van Rossom has also played for Scavolini Spar Pesaro and Armani Jeans Milano in Italy, as well as for Telindus BC Ostend and De Pinte in his native Belgium. He helped Ostend win consecutive Belgian League titles in 2006 and 2007, as well as lifting the Belgian Cup trophy in 2008.
Van Rossom is also a regular member of the Belgian national team and is expected to take part at EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia this September.
