Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade revealed what helped him stay a good defender towards the end of his career during an Instagram live session. The three-time NBA champion told fans that he was spending time reading his opponents’ game. Knowing what the guy he is guarding likes to do made up for disadvantages that Wade might have.

“It’s all about knowing a scouting report and just what a guy go to move is. Especially when you get towards the end of the game, a guy gonna go to what their strengths are. They not gonna go to something they just started working on, they gonna go to something that’s been their strength.”
