Former NBA coach George Karl was asked to name his top five starters from the players he has coached. Among the 68-year-old’s picks the only still active player is Carmelo Anthony. Recently, Karl described Melo as the best offensive player he has ever coached.
The other four are Gary Payton, Shawn Marion, Chauncey Billups and Ray Allen. Karl also named two more players as alternatives – Joe Barry Carroll and World B. Free.
