Devin Booker is one of the most capable scorers of the NBA and he proved that in his sophomore year. Namely, on this day, three years ago, Booker put one of the greatest one-man shows of the decade, scoring 70 points in a loss 120-130 to the Boston Celtics.

The Suns’ superstar shot 21-for-40 from the field, 24-26 from the free throw, scoring 51 points in the second half. The Phoenix Suns tried to rally from a 26-point hole, but they came up short in the end.

Booker became the youngest player ever to score 60+ points, while he was the first to score 70 points since Kobe Bryant scored 81 points on January 22, 2006.

Booker showed for the first time in his career that he was all-star material by finishing the season with averages of 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
