Dirk Nowitzki joined an elite clib of players who have scored 25,000 or more points during their NBA career, during last night’s Dallas game at New Orleans.

Nowitzki hit the mark with a signature jumper in the second quarter and became the 17th player in NBA history to have scored 25,000 or more points and one of only 9 to have scored at least 25,000 points and grabbed 9,000 rebounds.

“It’s been a crazy ride, no doubt. It’s a big milestone but I would’ve loved to be able to do it at home, in front of our home fans. Home fans have meant so much for me over the 15 years with the day they have supported me from day one and I would’ve loved to be able to do it at home. But things didn’t work out that way, I’m glad I got to this milestone, it means a lot to me and I think it means a lot to the franchise, to the fans. I’ve had a lot of great teammates over the years, great coaching.” stated the German international star during the post-game press conference.
