NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has revealed the league is considering hosting a one-off charity match while play remains suspended.

It’s been a week since Silver decided to halt the 2019/20 season and is likely hard at work as the NBA looks at its options, with uncertainty still looming given the situation with the coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking to ESPN’s Rachel Nichols on Wednesday, the league’s top man said that the idea of an All-Star-type fundraiser is being floated and, if it is to happen, it will consist of players who have all tested negative for COVID-19.

“One of the things we’ve been talking about: Are there conditions in which a group of players could compete? Maybe it’s for a giant fundraiser or just for the good of the people,” Silver said.
