For fans of the Los Angeles Lakers, last week couldn’t have been any better. Firstly, beating Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans, 122-114. A 120-107 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers followed. Then, the big weekend.

The prospect of facing off against two of the top teams in the NBA was an exciting one for fans of the purple and gold. But also a daunting one.

How would the Lakers hold up against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the East-leading Milwaukee Bucks? Especially after getting beat comfortably earlier on in the season. Also, the prospect of falling to 0-3 on the season to cross-city rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, was an unthinkable occurrence.

Well, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Co certainly made a statement beating both, relatively comfortably too. 113-103 against the Bucks and 112-103 against the Clippers.

The perfect week sees the Lakers holding a 49-13 record, sitting 6.5 games clear at the top of the Western Conference. In addition, in the past week, the franchise secured its first playoff birth for the first time in 7 years.

A pretty much a complete week in Lakerland, right?
