Boston Celtics GM and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said his team is not going to sign Jamal Crawford.
Crawford is still a free agent, yet Ainge made it clear the Celtics will not sign neither the veteran guard/forward nor any other free agent.
“It’s my impression that they’re rarely as good as people think they are. A lot of people, including myself and coaches and players, think that a player is still what he was two or three years prior or that he can return to a time of (when he was a) better player. But there’s always a reason why players are available,” Ainge said in an interview with Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.
Boston is third in the Eastern Conference with a 42-19 record.
