Payton Pritchard scored a career-high 38 points, leading the NBA-best Boston Celtics (64-18) to a 132-122 victory over the Washington Wizards (15-67) in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Pritchard’s remarkable performance included 12 assists and nine rebounds.

Svi Mykhailiuk added 26 points and Sam Hauser contributed 16 for Boston, who rested their entire starting lineup along with top reserve Al Horford.

In last year’s final regular-season game, Pritchard secured a triple-double with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, joining Celtics legends Larry Bird and John Havlicek in an elite club.

The Wizards concluded their season without a playoff berth, with Eugene Omoruyi leading them with a career-best 26 points.

Jared Butler added 22 points and seven assists, while Patrick Baldwin Jr. had 17 points and seven rebounds.
