The New York Knicks saw a dramatic decrease in attendance for Wednesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz, which the Knicks lost 112-104.

While other factors including fear of the coronavirus may have contributed, fans were clearly upset with the way the situation was handled and it showed in their attendance. Lee got into an argument because security prevented him from entering the employee entrance, though Lee said he has used that entrance for more than 20 years in a row. Following the incident the Knicks released a statement blaming Lee for what happened.

The dysfunction at Madison Square Garden continued last night as multiple fans claimed they were ejected for chanting “sell the team.”

The Knicks next game is Friday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder .
