Greg Oden talked to Shams Charania about fans calling him a “bust”. The former number one pick claimed that he does not think about it anymore.
“I don’t really think about the word ‘bust’ no more. All I know is I had bad knees, I had injuries, I wasn’t able to play. If it’s a bust, it’s a bust.”
Oden was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft with the hope of forming a formidable trio with Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.
But, knee injuries derailed Oden’s career, who was a high-school sensation before entering the NCAA and later the NBA.
