Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:

In just one year with our team Nenad proved that he is one of the best if not just the best center in Europe. He was a pleasant surprise for the fans with his consistency, the highest level of basketball, the heart of the fighter and, what is very important, his openness, kindness, friendliness. It was natural that it was one of our offseason priorities to keep Krstic and I am very glad that Nenad will stay with us for two more years – without any opt-outs.

Nenad Krstic, CSKA center:

I am happy to stay in the best club in Europe, to try to take CSKA back to the Euroleague Final Four and help the team to win domestic competitions. I had no doubt about staying. I realized that my system of values turned dramatically towards my family, the Serbian national team, CSKA offseason moves and the new contract answered my demands perfectly. I realized that I would like to play at least three seasons in our red and blue uniform. I know that the team has a new coach and I hope we will find a common language soon. Source: CSKA Moscow
