After a long wait, Olympiacos administration have finally decided to hand over the team’s keys to Giorgos Bartzokas.
Bartzokas was considered alongside a number of candidates, many of whom didn’t make the final cut due to various reasons. The other finalist candidate appears to have been Elias Zouros, whose chances suffered a great blow by Greece’s embarrassing performance against Nigeria in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Bartzokas inked a 2 years deal and stated proud to have the responsibility to coach the Greek and European champions.
