Greek veteran coach Argyris Pedoulakis has been announced as the new head coach of Panathinaikos.

The former player who spent six years playing for Panathinaikos in mid 80s to early 90s was the Plan B of the club after Jure Zdovc, but the Slovenian coach was under contract with Spartak St. Petersburg.

Obradovic’s successor asked for patience and promised to work hard: “I know I’m coming to the most successful team Greek sports have ever witnessed, as I already know from my playing days with the club. I know it would be too much to ask for time credit, but since everything will be new for all of us, I ask to be judged strictly at the end of the season. All we are asking is the support of the fans.”

After closing the coach chapter, Panathinaikos is close to announce its first two signings: Michael Bramos and Drew Nicholas.
