Aaron Gordon had already decided to retire from the Dunk Contest, no matter what the outcome of Saturday’s showdown would be, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
Following the controversial ending to the 2020 Slam Dunk Contest, Gordon announced his decision to retire from the competition.
However, according to Robbins, this had nothing to do with the controversial outcome of the contest, as Gordon had already decided that 2020 would be his final dunk contest.
