The Oklahoma City Thunder will likely keep center Steven Adams to the roster past the trade deadline, per Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.

The Atlanta Hawks were interested in trading for Adams, yet the Thunder are in the playoff zone and are not willing to let the veteran center leave the team.

“A source with knowledge of Oklahoma City’s thinking believes Steven Adams is going to stay put with the Thunder ahead of the deadline,” Kirschner reports.

Adams is averaging 10.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season, while the Thunder are seventh in the East (30-20).
