Mad Croc Fuenlabrada announced the signing of Jamaican center Kimani Ffriend. The Spanish team had a spare foreign player spot due to the injury of the New Zealander guard Kirk Penney, who will miss the rest of the season. Fuenlabrada, in the middle of the fight for avoiding relegation, played a good first half of the season, getting a spot at Copa del Rey, but its lack of roster depth has sent them down the league standings.

Ffriend, a 2, 11 m. 34 years old international journeyman, has played in 14 different countries during his 11 years long professional career, without ever staying in a club for more than a season. With the signing of the Jamaican player, Fuenlabrada tries to get more power in the paint, something the team has been missing since Gustavo Ayón left the team for the New Orleans Hornets in the middle of the season.
