Tickets for the deciding game five Euroleague quarter-final playoff clash between Panathinaikos and Maccabi Electra have sold out.

The club announced today that 18,000 tickets for Thursday’s encounter were sold in less than 24 hours, and sources say that Panathinaikos might start selling a second round of tickets over the course of Monday and Tuesday.

It has been rumoured, but not confirmed that 2,000 Maccabi fans will travel to Athens for this game.

The quarter-final series between Panathinaikos and Maccabi is currently tied at two games each. The winner of this do-or-die game will head to the Final Four in Istanbul (May 11th-13th).

The two teams played out last season’s Euroleague final with Panathinaikos winning 78-70, claiming their sixth Euroleague crown.
