Buddy Hield wore the No.24 to honor his childhood hero Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away on a helicopter crash on Sunday along with 8 other people.

The Sacramento Kings came back from a 17-point deficit in the last three minutes of the contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, winning the game in overtime (133-129).

Buddy Hield scored a career-high 42 points (third best in franchise history), having 20 of them in the fourth quarter on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting.

Moreover, Hield shot 24 attempts hitting 9 shots from the three-point line (most in King’s history).

Furthermore, he became the third ever player to get 40 points or more and make 9 or more threes from the bench.

He joined J.R. Smith and Rodrigue Beaubois. That was the second straight victory for the Kings, who improved to 17-29.
