Big man Dwight Howard recorded his fifth double-double with 14 points (7/10 FG, 0/0 3PT, 0/3 FT) and 12 boards, adding one assist, two steals and one block in his first start of the season in the JaVale McGee-less Los Angeles Lakers’ 128-113 victory over the DeAndre Jordan-less Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Thursday night. The Lakers improved to 36-9 and sit atop the Western Conference, while the Nets dropped to 18-25.
