The Minnesota Timberwolves will build their core around Karl-Anthony Towns, according to the President of Basketball Operations of Minnesota, Gersson Rosas.

Rosas talked to ESPN ahead of the game against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

“Karl-Anthony Towns is as untouchable as they come.He’s the best player on our team and he’s the guy we’re building around. Everything we do is to help him become the best player and to help us become the best team we can be. He’s a special talent that we’re going to do anything possible to help him achieve his highest potential.”

The Timberwolves dropped their 7th game in the row, 117-110 to the Bulls, despite the 40-point game of Towns.

Towns scored 40 points for the 8th time in his career, tying Andrew Wiggins for the second-most in franchise history. He finished the game with 16-24 from the field, 4-8 from behind the arc and 4-5 from the the free throw line.

He also added 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Minnesota dropped to 15-29 being 13th in the Western Conference.
