Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. has accepted an invitation to the 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Contest at All-Star weekend in Chicago.

Jones Jr. joins Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard as the two dunk contest participants so far.

Jones Jr. and Howard are two of the four players who will compete in the dunk contest.

Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls has been a rumored entrant, but he is still thinking about his decision.

Ja Morant already turned down his invitation.

It’s been Jones Jr.’s goal to return to the dunk contest, as he finished runner-up to Glenn Robinson III in the 2017 competition.

Jones Jr. will become just the third Heat player to compete in the dunk contest, joining Harold Miner who won the event in 1993 and 1995 and Billy Thompson who participated in 1990.
