Derrick Rose of the Detroit Pistons has remedied a $ 25,000 fine for angrily throwing a pen at the Little Caesars Arena audience in the closing minutes of the game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

What Happened?

After the shot by Nicolò Melli, which sealed the victory of his Pelicans, and the subsequent time out of coach Dwane Casey, an angry Rose grabbed a pen placed on the match officials’ table, then hurling it forcefully towards the stands on the opposite side to his of the field. A gesture of frustration which cost Rose a fine of 25 thousand dollars. The gesture had escaped the referees at first, but later Rose was punished.

A difficult moment for Rose and the Pistons, and exacerbated by the home defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans without Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram. Coach Casey has kept the star Andre Drummond on the bench for a large part of the second half, now given as a likely starter already in the market window, which will close on February 7th. The injuries of Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson helped compromise the season of the Pistons, who last year managed to qualify for the playoffs after a 41-win regular season.
