Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo have been named NBA Players of the Week for week eight.
James recorded one triple-double last week and almost averaged a triple-double for the week with 28.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game.
Adebayo recorded two triple-doubles last week and was close to averaging a triple-double as well, with 20.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.
James has now won Player of the Week 62 times.
This is the first Player of the Week award that Adebayo has won in his career.
He is the second-youngest player in Heat franchise history to be named Player of the Week.
This is the second week in a row that Players of the Week were from the Lakers and Heat, as Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler won the award last week.
