Spirou Belgacom stunned Anadolu Efes in week two of the Euroleague with a 80-79 victory in Istanbul.

The Euroleague qualifiers led for the majority of the game, and took a 24-15 lead at the end of the first and despite Efes narrowing the gap at half-time to six (38-32), Spirou managed to keep the lead heading into the final ten minutes at 60-56.

Efes managed to tie the game at 76 with just over a minute left when Justin Hamilton came up with four points in the last minute to secure a big win for Spirou.

Caleb Green led Spirou with 18 points. Ersan Ilyasova led all scorers in vain for Efes with 21.

Elsewhere, CSKA Moscow continued their good start to this season’s Euroleague with a 94-74 success over Brose Baskets.

Nenad Krstic led CSKA with 19 points with a perfect 9-out-of-9 shooting, as the Russian champions took a 24-14 lead after one and never looked back. 

Panathinaikos also continued their 100% start in Croatia with a comfortable 82-61 victory over ZZ Zagreb, and there was also a win for Caja Laboral, as they beat Bennet Cantu 81-69.
