Worcester Wolves have secured the signing of 6’5 shooting guard Tommy Freeman from the University of Ohio.

Freeman becomes Worcester’s fourth signing, as he joins David Watts, Callum Jones and Alex Zimnickas in Paul James’ line-up. As the Wolves prepare for the 2011/12 British Basketball League season.

The BBL rookie comes fresh from the University of Ohio where he set a school record for three-pointers made.

“Every kid dreams about playing for the high school and then the D1 level and I did that,” Freeman said to The Star Press.

“Now I get to play professionally. That’s a dream not too many basketball players get to experience. It’s definitely an exciting time for me and my family.”

Worcester are also reported to be bringing in a second American Richie Gordon. A deal is supposed to be finalised within the next few days.
