Lithuania will play six friendly home games and will face their opponents away on three occasions during the preparation for EuroBasket 2011. The tournament hosts will take on Spain twice this summer just as they did for the past few years.

The players will gather for the first training camp on July 18 in Druskininkai. Lithuania will host Slovenia and Czech Republic in a newly built Svyturio Arena in Klaipeda on August 4th and 6th accordingly to open the series of friendly games.

Although it was originally thought that Lithuania will play all of its warm-up games at home except one game versus Russia, the number of away games was increased to three and now includes trips to Spain and Slovenia as well.

The tradition of facing Spain twice during preparation period will be continued this summer too. The two teams will exchange home and away games. Spain is the only team which was drawn in the same group as Lithuania for EuroBasket 2011 that will play friendly games against hosts.

Lithuania will also take on its northern neighbours, Latvia, as it usually happens every summer. The clashes between the two Baltic sides are always very tight and the winner is decided in finals moments only.

The series of friendly games will end in Vilnius with a game against EuroBasket debutants Georgia.
