The head coach of Barcelona, Svetislav Pešić, was satisfied with the warm welcome from Crvena Zvezda’s fans in the fourth round of the EuroLeague.

Barcelona beat Crvena Zvezda 73-65 in the fourth round of the best European club competition in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, also known as Pionir, and after the win, coach Pesic thanked all the fans for the warm welcome.

“I am so thankful for this warm welcome. If your neighbor appreciates you it means you worth something. In other words, I am really glad they welcomed me the way they did and I am always here if something needs to be done for Zvezda. I am still 100% here, follow what is going on and Zvezda is on the right track” said Pešić who was grateful for four quarters in basketball.

“First 20 minutes Zvezda played excellent, especially in defense. They played one on one and fight for every ball. Fortunately for us, there are four ten minute quarters so we eventually explained to our players what needs to be done. We managed to return and win on this difficult court”, he mentioned.

After the win against Crvena Zvezda, the head coach of Barcelona explained to the journalists that this is only the beginning of the season.

“We are in October, at the beginning of the season. And season lasts for 10 months, this is only the first. Zvezda lost some games now, but that is part of the sport. The team has the character, they showed in the games against Fenerbahce and Maccabi when they returned to the game. Everything would be different if Baron (Billy) scored for the three, but the ball will go in eventually”, the coach of Barcelona stated at the press conference after the game in Belgrade.
