The interest of the NBA team in LaMelo Ball is getting more serious. According to Adam Zagoria of Forbes, four NBA teams, namely the Portland Trail Blazers, the New Orleans Pelicans, the Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors, have a reached out to LaMelo’s former school about his background.
It is reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers have also expressed interest:
“The Blazers, Pelicans, Nets and Raptors have reached out to executives at Spire Academy in Ohio where the 6-foot-7 Ball played last season before joining Australia’s NBL for the 2019-20 season. The Cavaliers have also evaluated the youngest Ball, sources said.”
LaMelo Ball, who is with the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian NBL, is projected to be a Top 5 NBA Draft pick next summer. He is also in the mix to be a number one pick.
