Three-time NBA All-Star point guard Derrick Rose, who signed to a two-year, $15 million deal with the Detroit Pistons this offseason, praises his teammate forward Blake Griffin:
“You just knew he was special, he was special when he came into the league. He’s improved every year, so you know his I.Q. is very high. He knows how the game is evolving, he has to adapt so of course I would want to play with a player like that – especially someone that was in my class,” Rose said.
This past season, Griffin averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 boards and 5.4 assists per contest. Rose, meanwhile, averaged 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
