Zalgiris Kaunas added depth to its backcourt by signing shooting guard Karolis Lukosiunas, the club announced on Tuesday.

Lukosiunas (1.96 meters, 22 years old) has played last season with a fellow Lithuanian club Siauliai where he averaged 7.5 points, 1.5. rebounds and 1.3 assists in 35 appearances. He also played 33 games for a second division side Delikatesas Joniskis where he averaged 13.3 points, 3.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds.

Lukosiunas spent this entire preseason with Zalgiris on a try-out basis, before making the team led by coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. He will now have a chance to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
