ImageIn a blow-out game France managed to get the last ticket for Eurobasket 2009, in a rather easy and fashionably manner, over Belgium.

France literally destroyed their northern neighbours by 92-54, showing them who is the boss after an embarrassing 4 points defeat in Belgium, some days ago.

After the first quarter finished 21-15 lead for France, Les Blues shook off any stress they had by covering the -4 points

defeat in the first game and played much better in the second quarter, almost managing to out-triple-score Belgium, 27-10, being led by the NBA duo Tony Parker and Ronny Turiaf.

The second half was more balanced as Belgium improved their offensive game, mainly due to Beghin, and managed to stay rather close, but the point difference kept growing and France finished the game with a 38 points margin.

France: Diot 1, Batum 8, Parker 16, Turiaf 19, Jeanneau, Koffi 6, Mahinmi 1, Bokolo 2, Pietrus 2, De Colo 12, Diaw 13,

Traore 12

Belgium: Moors, Van Rossom 5, Beghin 11, Hervelle 5, Bosco 2, Van Der Jonckheyd 7, Lauwers 5, Dreesen 5, De Bel 4, Oveneke 2, Driesen 3, Mbenga 5

France will now get in the Group B of Eurobasket 2009 alongside with Germany, Latvia and cup holders Russia.

According to talkbasket.net information, France could still play another friendly game in Poland, with Greece being the main candidate to play against.
