The unexpected departure of Paul George could push the Oklahoma City Thunder to reconsider their plans for immediate future. According to Royce Young of the ESPN, this could mean the Thunder might think about trading their star Russell Westbrook.

OKC are at a crossroads now facing two main options – rebuild the team via trades and remain a contender or make a complete overhaul by getting rid of the highest contracts.

Currently, the Thunder are $15 million over the tax threshold and facing a current $43 million luxury tax payment. With that in mind, Westbrook trade might be the most obvious move.
