ImageOne of the best players of his generation -the best according to many people- has decided upon his future according to Seattle Times. Enes Kanter was born in 1992 in Zurich/Switzerland and holds the Turkish citizenship.

17-year old Kanter was elected MVP of the recent U18 Eurobasket held in Metz, France, after he led his team (Turkey) to the bronze medal, averaging 18.6 points, 16.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists (stats here ). It is to be noted that Kanter pulled off his best performances in the semifianl and 3rd place game. Against eventual champions Serbia he had 32 points and 25 rebounds and against Lithuania in the bronze medal game, he had 35 points and 19 rebounds.

It was rumored that even Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, offered the Turkish prospect a multi-year and multi-million deal, the player however decided to go to the NCAA the following season, most likely at Washington University.

The Turkish power forward/center is 208cm tall, extremelly strong for his age, very agile, has good control of his body, can post players in the paint or shoot threepointers from NBA range. The whole packet for a dominant player.

We will keep an eye on this boy…
