The representative of the ProTalent agency, a client of which is Sarunas Jasikevicius, has denied all the rumours about Saras supposed return to Maccabi Tel Aviv. He claimed that there were no offers for the Panathinaikos point guard as of now. Besides, the player himself is not going to start any negotiations until June when his current contract runs out.
Maccabi wanted to sign Saras ever since he left Israeli giants for Indiana Pacers in 2005. Though The Yellows couldn’t match the bid which as presented to Saras by Panathinaikos. The situation has changed since then and the 34-year-old Lithuanian star is now a realistic target for Maccabi. Even though Jasikevicius told to the media many times that he is happy in Athens, his playing time has dropped significantly and it remains to be seen whether he will want to take that role again next season.
