Zeljko Obradovic decided to drop Marcus Haislip from Panathinaikos Greek A1 league roster and brought Giorgi Shermadini instead. 29-year-old Haislip was signed by The Greens in January with the hope that he could help the reigning Euroleague champions to qualify for the quarter-finals. Since this plan didn’t work, the club decided to rather give the chance for the young Georgian center.

Marcus Haislip appeared on the court for Panathinaikos in all six Top 16 games. During those games he averaged 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 17 minutes per game.

Greek league is the only competition that Panathinaikos will be playing in this season. No more squad changes can be made from now on which means that Haislip’s days in Athens can be counted.
