ImageIn a rather surprising decision Zeljko Obradovic decided to let Sarunas Jasikevicius out of Panathinaikos' roster for Greek domestic competitions and registered newly signed Marcus Haislip instead.

The surprise fact is that everybody expected Georgi Shermadini to be left out of Greek A1 but with Michael Batiste being injured for now Panathinaikos can not afford losing another big guy, so the Lithuanian star paid the price of his mediocre performances so far in the season and his poor physical condition.

Obradovic is also probably trying to send messages to his players to try harder and let them know that none of them is untouchable. Jasikevicius is expected to return to Panathinaikos' domestic roster just before the Greek Cup final against rivals Olympiacos to replace Shermadini, since Batiste will be fit again by then.
