In a late thriller in Oakland, Kevin Durant was unstoppable and gave the Golden State Warriors the victory over the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference semi-finals (104-100).

Durant had a game-high 35 points (11/25 shooting) for the winners, while four more players scored in double digits for Golden State.

James Harden (35 points, 9/28 shooting) and Eric Gordon (27 points) were the best players of the losing squad.

In a match where no team led by more than nine points, the Warriors stood tall and defeated the Rockets, as Harden missed the game-tying three-pointer, with five seconds to go.

Game 2 will be played in Oakland on Tuesday (30/04).
