The hosts had an eight-point lead at halftime (35-27), taking advantage of the visitors’ poor offensive performance.
Real, though, turned things around and outscored Gran Canaria 36-50 in the second half to seal the deal and earn the victory.
Facundo Campazzo led the winners with a team-high 18 points. Clevin Hannah (game-high 19 points) and Jacob Wiley (18 points) were the best players of the losing squad.
Real Madrid improved to 20-6, whereas Gran Canaria dropped to 9-17 and is just one win above the relegation zone.
